Doreen is the author of more than 20 books about angels, chakras, Crystal Children, Indigo Children, health and diet, and other mind-body-spirit issues, including the best-selling Healing with the Angels and Messages from Your Angels books/angel cards.
Doreen, who holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in counseling psychology, was the founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was also an administrator at Woodside Women’s Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both all-women psychiatric hospitals specialized in treating women’s psychological issues. Doreen also directed three outpatient psychiatric centers, including an adolescent drug and alcohol abuse center.
As a child, Doreen was a natural clairvoyant, seeing and conversing with what many people call “invisible friends.” But this natural gift and ability was little understood by the young Doreen and her family, and was the cause of teasing by her friends. Consequently, Doreen learned to deny her abilities, effectively shutting them down before she was mature enough to fully appreciate them. But on July 15, 1995, Doreen’s personal life and her career, marked by exemplary but conventional success, would be irrevocably altered by an incident that is nothing short of miraculous.
Doreen had been ignoring her angels’ guidance to become a teacher of mind-body-spirit issues, so when an angel warned Doreen that her car was going to be stolen on that fateful July afternoon, Doreen ignored him. After all, her habit of arguing with and ignoring the angels was deeply ingrained by then. Despite this, the angel did not abandon Doreen in her most dire moment—as she was parking, two armed men, intent on a carjacking, brandished weapons and physically accosted the unsuspecting Doreen. The voice spoke to her again—it was loud, distinctly male, and it instructed her to scream with all her might. This time she listened, and her life was saved by passers-by who became alarmed and sent her attackers running.
Doreen immediately began a daily rigorous practice of receiving and deciphering her Divine Guidance. Simultaneously, she was reexamining her spiritual beliefs, along with her Western psychological beliefs, the end result being twofold: Doreen was guided to look at psychology from a whole new perspective, and her natural clairvoyance rapidly returned with the same clarity and strength of her childhood experiences. Dr. Virtue’s practice then naturally evolved into “Angel Therapy,” in which she combined her background in psychology with her spiritual abilities.
Today, Doreen is known around the world for her connection with the realm of the angels. She has devoted her lifework to teaching us all how to clearly hear the messages from our angels. “When you work with angels, you can lean upon their light to help you heal at miraculous rates and in amazing ways. John Major Jenkins is an independent researcher who has devoted himself to reconstructing ancient Mayan cosmology and philosophy. Since 1986, John has traveled to Mexico and Central America seven times. In 1990 he helped build a school in San Pedro, near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. In 1994 he delivered relief supplies to a Quiché Maya community in the Western highlands of Guatemala. Since beginning his odyssey of research and discovery with the Maya, John has authored dozens of articles and many books, including:

He also facilitated the translation of The Key to the Kalevala by Pekka Ervast, editing and writing the introduction for it. This classic text on Finnish mythology was published with Blue Dolphin Publishers in 1999. In 1995 John was appointed literary executor for Eino Friberg, Finnish-American poet and translator of The Kalevala, the national epic of the Finnish people.
As a visiting scholar, Jenkins has taught classes at The Institute of Maya Studies in Miami, The Maya Calendar Congress in Mexico, The Esalen Institute, Naropa University and many other venues both nationally and abroad. He has been interviewed on numerous radio and television shows, including the Art Bell show, the Laura Lee show, Dr. Patricia Hill's The Changing Paradigm, and has appeared in documentaries on Native American prophecy and the millennium such as The Fifth Gate (Milton Media, Denmark) and Earth Under Fire (Conscious Wave Video).
In October of 2000, the Discovery Channel featured John's work on two episodes of the "Places of Mystery" series, which continue to be broadcast regularly on the Travel Channel. John will appear in a documentary on the Maya that will be broadcast on the History Channel in March 2006. John's careful scholarship and cutting-edge insights into why the Maya chose 2012 to end a great World Age cycle have been endorsed by the most progressive thinkers of our day.
The 5,125-year Long Count of the Classical Mayan Calendar ends in just a few short years. Antonio Aj Ik was born and raised in the Ixil Triangle region of the Guatemalan Highlands in the late 1970s. He grew up in the tiny village of Xix in the municipality of Chajul. During most of his childhood Antonio experienced the terror of the extermination wars that wracked his homeland and wiped out thousands of his people including two of his siblings. During the worst of those times, Antonio remembers the steadfast perseverance and faith with which his father, a traditional Ajk’ij calendar priest-shaman held on to the ancient ways of his people. These ancient traditions included the Tz’ite seed revelatory customs and a careful study of the K’iche creation narration, the POPOL VUJ, a Maya-language copy of which he had acquired just before the whole family had to flee into the wild mountains for fear of the military Death Squads. It is that example from his father who through the whole dark period of fear and death would read the stories of the Popol Vuj to him which has inspired Antonio to bring this message to the world.
Miguel A. Sague, Jr. is a Cuban-American of Taino Indigenous ancestry and the founder of the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle, a shamanic-based organization that fulfills the spiritual needs of many Tainos all over the continental United States and on some of the islands of the Caribbean, which is its tribal homeland. The Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle also has provided inspiration to non-Indigenous brothers and sisters, who see in the Taino tradition a source of wisdom that they can use in their own lives.
Miguel’s work with the Mayan Calendar is based on the fact that the ancient Taino culture and history has important links with the culture and history of the Maya people who live very close to the island homes just across the Gulf of Mexico in Central America.
